Deb Kurilla founded Body of Light in 2000 after discovering how profoundly yoga and meditation could transform both body and mind. Once a fast-paced New York City bookstore manager with a type-A personality and constant anxiety, she found in yoga a path toward balance, strength, and inner calm.

For more than two decades Deb has helped hundreds of students move with greater ease, confidence, and awareness. Drawing on her training in yoga therapy, meditation, adaptive yoga, Pilates, somatic movement, and balance training, she guides students with warmth, intelligence, and deep respect for the body’s natural wisdom.

Her work now focuses on guiding people to move with wisdom and grace in the next chapter of life.
