Why I created “Balance, Reimagined”

This is Selma. She came to my classes twice a week for 14 years, practicing headstands and sitting cross-legged well into her later years. She was our ultimate class inspiration.

For over two decades, I have observed the movement patterns of individuals in their 80s and 90s. They taught me a vital truth: waiting until our later years to focus on balance is often too late. By then, deep physical compensation habits have already set in, making it a challenge to unwind a lifetime of structural patterns.

This program is my love letter from that older generation to those of us in our 50s, 60s, and 70s. This is our optimal window to intervene—the golden opportunity to disrupt hidden habits, re-educate the mind-body connection, and build a resilient foundation.
