My Story

Finding Stillness

30 Years of Observation

The Evolution of Balance

Meditation found me by accident in 1994 while I was managing a busy New York City bookstore and living hectic, anxiety prone life. I quickly realized I had discovered something priceless: stillness. Yoga became its natural companion, offering a physical way to quiet my mind, release stress and come home to myself.

In 2000 I opened Body of Light and have since taught yoga and meditation to hundreds of students. My work has evolved from traditional yoga instruction to integrate therapeutic yoga, breathwork, somatics, myofacial stretching and restorative practices. I relocated in 2009 to the beautiful river town of Lambertville and recently to Frenchtown. Nature continues to inspire how and what I teach.

Inspired by the remarkable seniors I taught chair yoga to for 22 years, I realized we need to shirft our perspective on balance much sooner than we think. This inspired me to develope Balance, Reimagined - a system designed to help you disrupt hidden habits, re-educate the mind-body connection, and build a strong foundation to to age with vitality, confidence and grace.

A Final Thought

I believe movement is more than exercise.

It is a way of listening.

A way of understanding ourselves.

A way of coming home.

I hope you'll join me.
